Questions about our Snacks
Q.   Can you guarantee there are no allergen related foods?
A.   Like any place that deals with the public, we cannot guarantee we are fully allergen free.   We work with parents, check labels, and most of our snacks are home made; we do our best to ensure all children can eat the snacks we provide.   If your child does have a food allergy, we ask that you make it known to us when you register your child.   We will sit down with the parent and discuss at length the foods, manifestations, and medical procedures.
Food allergies/sensitivities are not foods your child doesn't like to eat, but foods that cause stomach aches, itching in the throat, hives/rashes, diarrhea/vomiting, anaphylactic shock.

Q.   Do Parents have to provide snacks?
A.   No.  We provide the snacks.  Parents don't have to worry about providing snacks for their children, or take turns providing snacks for the whole group....We take care of it!

Q.   What types of snacks do you provide?
A.   We base our snacks on two important points, 1. is the Canadian Food Guide;  what the recommend nutritional intake for a child of 2-4 years of age is.   and 2. any food allergies present.
As stated in our Parent Handbook, our snacks consist of 1 serving fruit, 1 serving grain, and 1 serving dairy.

Questions about the Curriculum/Program
Q.    Will the children be using Workbooks?
A.   No.  Our Program is a highly active one.  Children will be learning the fundamentals using gross motor activities, manipulatives, cut and paste, art/crafts and/or playWe do not use workbooks of any kind.

Q.    You have a 'No Parent Participation' Policy.   At what point do Parents have to get involved?
A.   Volunteers are welcome, but parents do not have to get involved in the day to day, or our field trips, unless they want too!

Q.   What type of supplies do parents have to bring?
A.   Parents do not supply anything.  Wee Beginnings Nursery School supplies all items, foods, and fun your child will require while attending their sessions.
Parents are encouraged to bring inside running shoes for their child, for proper support while doing gross motor activities and because we have concrete floors that get cold.

Q.   How many children do you allow in the programs?
A.   That depends on the program.   A Nursery School is not regulated the same as a daycare, and runs by a different set of government standards.   These standards state that their is no set attendance number.   BUT Wee Beginnings feels that due to the safety of the children WE are regulating the number of children who can attend each program.   These numbers are the same and below daycare regulations.   They are as follows:
Jr. Preschool Program:  5 children per session
Sr. Preschool Program:  6 children per session
Jr. Kindergarten Program:  8 children per session
